JULY 2002

Although hard work & practice has helped make Courtney a good ball player, she would like to thank all the coaches & assistants who have helped her as well in both West Island Baseball in Pointe Claire, & in her current organization the BKGSA. ( The Beaconsfield & Kirkland Girls Softball Association) These are 2 very good organizations that don't get the exposure & recognition they both deserve.

Fair play, practice, teamwork, & listening to your coaches does pay off.... right Court?

COURTSTOP!

Three years & counting! Courtney's now finished 3 seasons of baseball/softball & has yet to walk away not a champion! (Okay in T-Ball they did not keep score!) The 2002 Season was Courts first in Girls Softball after last year playing Baseball with the boys. Although the team had a rough regular season (1 win Vs 9 losses) They surged in the final tournament taking out the Falcons in a 17-15 nailbiter in the championship game! (Court was 4 for 5 in that game, knocking in 4 & scoring another 4. Not a bad days work!)

POINTE CLAIRE MARLINS BASEBALL 2001.

Courtney had a great year as her team was an incredible 21-1 & won the Championship! She was one of the only 5 girls in the entire league& came up big when the team needed her most. She began to settle in as a very good shortstop.

BKGSA HAWKS SOFTBALL 2002.

Jumping to softball was quite a move this season, Courtney's bat was on fire all year, including going 9 consecutive games where she reached base every single at bat. In fact, she got on base in every single game she played. Court continued to play a solid shortstop, while taking regular turns at first base when the team needed her defense there in big innings. She also pitched for the first time ever this season. The team didn't have a great regular season going 1-9, but the players practiced hard getting better & better & when it came down to the important games they upset the whole league & won the championship!
