Skill Builder

SB #1: Wrote a 30- or 60-second television or radio commercial for the year's Girl Scout cookie variety. Then acted them out as they would want them portrayed on tv, or said them as they would want them broadcasted on the radio. (This was fun!!)

SB #3: Designed a poster for their cookie sales.

SB #7: Role-played different scenarios in selling cookies; including a cranky customer, inquisitive customer, and tried different sales pitches.

Technology

T #2: Surveyed 10 people (at least) for their favorite GS cookie and their reasons. Made a graph showing the results and interpretation.

T #3: Studied the GS cookie box design. Discussed how cookies are protected from damage because of the design. Discussed what makes the box design appealing. Listed 5 things the design says about Girl Scouting.

Service Projects

SP #3: Swapped sales techniques with another troop.

SP #4: Recycled cookie boxes into an art project or useful item. The girls decorated the boxes and made "treasure" boxes out of them to hold all their treasures!!

Here's a link for making scrapbooks from cookie boxes!!

Career Explorations
