SB #7: Adapted a recipe for a person with a special dietary needs: we made a cupcakes without using eggs! We used eggbeaters instead, none of the parents could tell the difference! Boy were they surprised!
Technology:
T #3: We found a cooking site on the internet (check links below) and found some recipes and printed them out. Each of us compared them with recipes for the same thing in a cookbook that dated back in the 1960's to find any changes. We discussed why or how these changes were brought about, ie. use of microwaves, etc.
Service Projects:
SP #6: For Thinking Day we made foods from different countries and served them along with teas from different countries.
Career Exploration:
CE #2: Talked with a lady who worked in resturants about the differences in institutional and home cooking compared to resturant cooking.
