Iliana was born in the glorious city of Cairhien. Iliana was delivered without the help of the local Wisdom, who could not be found at the time. Her mother suffered painful birthing complications and died shortly after Iliana was delivered.

Iliana's mother held the last name of "t'Alldrian" even after her second marriage. Iliana, though she greatly respects her father, adopted her mother's last name in honor of the mother she has never met.

When Iliana turned eight, her father remarried a woman of Amadician origin and upbringing. Her step-mother was generally kind to her, but Iliana disagreed with her views of Darkfriends and channelers, and her admiration of the Children of the Light.

As a child, Iliana had a voracious appetite for books. Most of her childhood was spent within in the great library of her city, located in the bustling center of Cairhien. It was from these book-filled stacks that Iliana learned of the Age of Legends, the White Tower and its Aes Sedai, and the wonderous world of Tel'aran'rhiod. Within the library of Cairhien, Iliana read all she could of the world without ever leaving her city walls.

As Iliana neared the age of sixteen, she discovered within herself a bursting curiousity to leave the city and travel the world. She snuck out of Cairhien to the busy city of Caemlyn. It was there that she met many people, Lion Wardens, its citizens, and even the famed Aes Sedai she'd read about. She returned home later on in the day and spoke energetically to her parents about joining the White Tower as a Novice. To her dismay, her step-mother refused to hear of it and her father quietly told her to put it out of her mind. After some more bickering, Iliana packed her bags sullenly and stomped out of the city.

After a few days of traveling to Tar Valon, led by a kind stranger, Iliana arrived in the Tower Square. After gaping at numerous ageless faces and tensely poised men, Iliana encountered a dignified woman by the name of Ciel Sedai. Ciel recognized the Spark within Iliana and told her that she could, indeed, join the Tower as a Novice. And so under the unnerving eye of Sheriam, Mistress of Novices, Iliana was put into her Novice whites. After many broken dishes, assigned essays, and visits to the infamous Gray Sitter's study, Iliana felt at home within the Shining Walls. She was often seen studying and working amongst Elina, Nest, Aphrodite, and her cousin Liana. Even before being raised to Accepted, she was already well known for her ability to "attract" trouble and Shadowspawn. Recognizing within herself the passion and desire to fight the Shadowspawn she so often encountered, Iliana greatly desired to be apprenticed to the Green Ajah. After going through a painful experience through the Arches, she was placed under the watchful eye of Deedlit who started her training while Iliana was Journey Accepted.

Iliana was raised to the Green Ajah the day she turned thirty-eight and she now fights up north alongside the Sisters of her Ajah. Often seen up north with Gaidin Jason alongside her, she is still fiery-tempered and headstrong,but has adapted those qualities into her reckless methods of battle. To this day, Iliana continues to work hard to serve the White Tower and to battle for the Light. Perhaps you will see her wielding a large staff, with her green Shawl tucked around her.
