Chapter 9
“ You’re falling in love with me?” I questioned..
“ I can’t deny my feelings for you Michelle no matter how hard I try,” he said, “ I’ve never felt this way about anyone so swiftly.  Deep down, I know that you and I can make it.  There’s a part of you that I’ve longed for for  years, and now that I’ve found it I don’t wanna lose it.  I have faith in us that we’ll make the right decisions in life and will make each other happy along the way..”
“ I don’t know what to say, this all so sudden.”
“ I know it is, and I’m sorry for bringing this on you so soon.”
“ I’m  speechless.”
“ It’s ok, I understand.” he said, “  I can assure you this though, I will promise to love you the way that you want to be loved.  I’ll be there for you if you need someone to make you laugh.  What ever it was that you didn’t have with all your past relationships, I promise to provide it for you.  And most importantly, I’ll dedicate my life goal into making you happy for the rest of your life.”
“ Wow, that’s quite a proposal you got there.” I giggled.
“ What do you think?”
“ With a proposal such as that, I’d be a fool if I said no.”
“ Are you ok with it?  Don’t say yes simply because of it meaning a great deal to me.”
“ Everything that you said, I feel it too..”
“  So would you like to give it a shot?” he asked.
“ I’d love nothing more than for us to be happy together, so yes, I’m willing to give it a shot.”
“ Michelle,” he said pulling me in for a hug, “ you’ve just made me the happiest and luckiest man in the world.”
So many nights I dreamt of someone like this angel before me, hugging my pillow tightly wishing so much that it would never end.  Waking up from a wished dream  wishing that it would never end,  I wondered how such a perfect love could go wrong.  Just when I thought all hope was gone, there he was .  Like the eye of star telling me that everything was going to be fine, for he was here to fulfill my every dream.  Counting down the minuets and wishing upon a star, there he was.  With a smile, he set my soul at ease and left me craving for more of his splendid comfort.  From the moment I laid eyes on him to moment I felt the fire from his sweet embrace , I knew he’d be the reason for me living.   There are times where I began to place myself in denial about my future.  Whether I’d have someone there to spend my life with or not.  Closing my eyes, I see my angel and I dancing in the moonlight in a world of our own.  No longer will I doubt my life circumstances anymore.  For I now know that mysterious doings will take place when I least expect it to...........
“ Michelle,” whispered Nick, shaking me gently, “ wake up.”
“ Go away,” I moaned, “ just five more minutes.”
“ Sorry Missy, but we’re running late and need to leave now.”
“ I was having such a good dream Nick, and you just had to wake me up, didn’t you?”
“ It’s not like I did it on purpose or anything.”
“ True,” I yawned.
“ Are you ok?” he asked.
“ Yeah, why?”
“ From the looks of it, it looks as if you were crying.”
“ Crying?” I questioned.
“ Yeah, cause your make-up is all smeared,” he said, “ What’s wrong?”
“ I don’t wanna talk about it.”
“ Sit tight, I’ll be right back,” he said rushing to the restroom.
“ Nick, I’ll be fine!” I yelled.
“ I know you will, just let me help you,” he said returning with a damp cloth in hand.
“ Nick-”
“ Sshhh,” he said placing his finger index finger over my mouth.
Seeing love in his eyes that still remained, he began to gently whip away the trail of my dried tears from the night before.  With the touch of his hand upon my face ceased all the awkward tension I once had for him.  Looking into his eyes, I now see what I should’ve saw last night.  Among all the harsh statements I made toward him, I’d find it hard for him to ever forgive me for what I said.
“ I’m sorry,” we both said in unison.
“ You go first,” he stated.
“ I just wanted to say sorry for how I treated you last night and I shouldn’t have let something like a kiss get to me easily.”
“ It’s ok, I forgive you,” he whispered.
“ What were you going to say?” I asked.
“ You shouldn’t be the one saying sorry, I’m the one who kissed you and it turned out to be the totally opposite of what I expected and I’m sorry Michelle.”
“ You’re forgiven.”
“ Please see forth that this doesn’t get in the way of our friendship.  I enjoy your company so much and I’d hate to be the one responsible for ruining it.”
“ As of right now, what happed last night doesn’t even exist.  Our friendship will remain as it was before you kissed me, ok?”
“ Ok,” he said looking deeply into my eyes, “ whatever you say Michelle.”
Sensing that he regretted every minute of what he did, I began wishing that it hadn’t have been.  With him confessing his feeling for me last night, I found myself questioning every doubt I held toward him.  Having him in the position of whipping my dried tears away, caused a part of my longed to feel what he felt last night.  Thoughts of what it would feel like to touch his lips, and have his arms around my body only lead me to believe that the only way to find out is to pursue my feelings.
“ Last night,” I whispered, “after the banquet, I cried my eyes out as to how messed up my life is turning out to be.  I feel one thing, then feel another.  It boggles my mind as to how confused I am about my life and surroundings.  I envision myself with someone and then with another individual.  Circumstances such as those leave me not knowing what to do anymore.”
“ You’ll find what you want someday, till then you just have to be patient and take life one day at a time.”
“ I someone times think about what it would be like if I pursue what I feel, and the only thing that stops me from doing so is that fact that I don’t wanna feel what  I normally feel once a situation such as that is formed.”
“ Situation meaning relationship?” he asked.
“ Something like that.”
