My mommy and daddy love each other very much. I know because I always hear them say, "I love you." They have been married for a long time. Longer then I have been alive! Daddy tells me he loves mommy more now than the day he married her. That always makes mommy smile. Mommy says she loves him too.

Mommy says daddy helps complete her. I don’t really understand that because I thought that people didn’t need other people to be complete. She laughs, telling me that it’s a metaphor, whatever that means. She said that she isn’t happy when she is away from him. I know that she is telling the truth because once daddy went away for lotsa weeks and mommy wasn’t as happy as she normally was. Then when he came back she cried a little and kissed him a lot. At first that grossed me out, but now I get use to it. It doesn’t gross me out anymore.

Daddy said mommy is his best friend. He tells her everything. He told me that before they were married she helped him with a lot of problems. My daddy had an addiction before I was born. Mommy had one too. I don’t know what an addiction is, but I know it isn't good. Mommy and daddy helped each other get better, and they haven’t had any problems since. Daddy said that mommy saved his life. I think that is really cool.

Daddy said that he fell in love with mommy the first time he saw her. Only it took him a while to figure it out. Mommy says she loved daddy then too, but she didn’t admit to it right away. She said she was scared of falling in love with daddy. I don’t know why because she doesn’t seem scared now. But I am sure mommy knows what she is talking about.

Mommy is the most beautiful woman in the world. I know so because that is what daddy says all the time. He said that I am very lucky because I look just like mommy and she is so pretty. I think mommy is pretty too. I want to be just like her.

Daddy always buys mommy flowers. I ask him every time what he buys them for. He says he buys them just so he can surprise mommy and make her smile. That doesn’t make a lot of sense because she is always smiling when he is around anyway. Sometimes daddy lets me help him pick out the flowers. When I help him he puts both our names on the card and mommy is doubly happy to get them.

Last week daddy and I went shopping for a mother’s day gift for mommy. Me and daddy always get her gifts. I don’t know why he does because she isn’t his mommy. He said he gets her a gift because she gave him me, and she deserves a gift for that. I asked daddy what the greatest gift he ever gave her was. And he said that he doesn’t know, but he knows that the greatest gift she ever gave him was me. I told him that when I asked mommy that question she said that I was the greatest gift he ever gave her. She said that because I was born on Christmas Eve they didn’t buy each other presents that year because I was the best gift in the world. I don’t know why everyone keeps calling me a gift, I am a girl! Daddy said I would understand when I am older. I don’t know if I can wait that long.

Last night I was watching TV with them, and I asked them if they ever got into any fights. Cause I had always seen people on TV fight, but I couldn’t remember them getting into any fights. Mommy said that they have fought twice since they got married. One time it was over what to name me, and the other time it was over what color to paint their bedroom. I told them that those were stupid things to fight over. Daddy explained that it was better to fight over stupid things than important things. I believed him because he is really smart.

Earlier I went to mommy and daddy’s work to surprise them. They like it when I surprise them. Everyone at their work always talks about how jealous they are. Mommy and daddy have a "very special relationship." Everyone says they wish they could have that kind of marriage. I always thought that all the mommies and daddies were like mine. But I guess not! But that is good cause it makes my mommy and daddy special.

Tonight daddy took mommy out dancing. So I had a babysitter. Daddy and mommy go dancing a lot. Mommy says she loves to go dancing with daddy because he makes her feel like a queen. Sometimes they will dance in the living room. Daddy will put on mommy’s favorite song and they will dance till the song is over. I know when they are dancing because it gets really quiet and I can hear the music. I always try and sneak down to watch them dance, but they usually hear me and send me back to bed. I don’t like it when they do that because I like to watch them dance.

When mommy and daddy came home mommy came to check on me. I was still awake. I can’t fall asleep unless they tuck me in. I ask them if they can tell me a story. Sometimes mommy tells me the story about her and daddy, only she makes it sound like a fairy tale. I like that story! When mommy tells it she calls daddy her prince. When daddy tells it he calls mommy his savior. I ask mommy if I will ever have a prince or a savior. She told me that I would someday. She says everyone has a prince or a savior. I just have to wait a while. My mommy knows everything.

Sometimes mommy makes it seem like she didn’t have a life before daddy. I know she did because I have seen pictures. And she says she did, but daddy makes her life worth living. She always says that me and daddy are her world, and all she needs is us.

Mommy and daddy always say they don’t know what they would do without each other. I don’t know what they would do either. They are going to be together forever, they always say so. I am sure they will be because they have already been together for so long! Mommy says that God has a plan for each of us, and his plan for her and daddy was for them to be together forever. So if that is God’s plan I am sure that it will happen.

My mommy and daddy love each other very much. And I love my mommy and daddy.
