LEMONCELLO | |||||||||||||||||||||
AN ITALIAN AFTER DINNER DRINK
Contributed by Aunt Mary
Per Aunt Mary, "Tasty and powerful... just a little will do." Sure, Aunt Mary, you bet. You're talking to Greeneys here. As the recipe makes a bit more than two liters, in all probability we'd kill it all in one night. I, of course, would partake only because of the anti-oxidant properties of the lemons. Vitamin C, doncha know.
INGREDIENTS | |||||||||||||||||||||
lemon juice lemon skins sugar vodka water |
|||||||||||||||||||||
DIRECTIONS | |||||||||||||||||||||
Squeeze three lemons and put the juice into a pan with the peelings of the lemons. Take the peelings of two more lemons and put them into the pan. Add three cups of sugar. Add one liter of vodka and one liter of water. Bring to a boil and let stand for twenty-four hours. Drain and bottle. Serve ice cold.
