PEAR MOUSSE
This is the one you want to serve when you want to impress guests!
INGREDIENTS
2 16oz. cans pears in heavy syrup, well drained
2 TBS pear brandy or orange flavored liqueur
1 TBS lemon juice
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup confectioners sugar
1/2 cup heavy cream, whipped
DIRECTIONS
In food processor or blender, puree pears. Stir in brandy and lemon juice, set aside.
In small saucepan, sprinkle gelatin over milk. Let stand one minute. Stir over low heat 5 minutes or until gelatin is dissolved. Stir in sugar and pear mixture. Chill in large bowl, stirring occasionally, until mixture mounds slightly when dropped from a spoon. Fold in whipped cream. Spoon into dessert bowl or six dessert dishes.
