ENGLISH TOFFEE SQUARES

INGREDIENTS AND DIRECTIONS

1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 cup flour Combine and pat firmly into a 9 X 12 inch pan. Bake in 375 degree oven for ten minutes. 1 cup brown sugar 2 eggs dash of salt 1 tsp. vanilla 3 TBS flour 1 cup chopped nuts 1 1/2 cups coconut Mix thoroughly. Lightly spoon over first mixture. Replace in oven and bake 15-20 minutes. Cut when slightly cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
