Bleed to Love Her: Recommended Links

All of the stories found at the following archives are excellent and have much to recommend them. The ones I have listed below are the ones I go back to and read over and over again because of excellent characterization, style and some of them are just plain provocative.

Just for the record, I like the fiction I read to be well-written, spellchecked and have plenty of drama, angst or sexual tension. So much the better if I can have all three. I hope you will enjoy these tales as much as I have.

Site Administrator: Devil Doll

This is where it all began. My favorite site, it totally kicks @$$. Devil Doll deserves major thanks and big bucks for the stuff she goes through to make sure we get our W&R fix. Please drop her an e-mail if you get the chance! Diebin is my favorite Lady of Angst ("Agony and Ecstacy") and StellaMaru has my vote for Queen of Smut ("Watch the Paint").

Site Administrator: Becca

What can I say about the immortal Becca except that she is responsible for my Christopher Meloni fixation, courtesy of her link page, which links to the Psycho Fangirls, a most excellent unit of vidshippers. In addition, Becca hosts many excellent video herself on the site:

Site Administrator: J. Blazer

My new favorite WR author, Queen of the Highway. Why do I call her that? Well, it's the name of one of my favorite Doors' songs from the Morrison Hotel album, and it's the setting for most of her masterpieces, such as Rain, The Cell and Sleep. Heartbreak, passion and pain wait, lurking in cyberspace, for unsuspecting readers like myself to discover. She's a platinum mine of excellent Logan characterizations.

Site Administrator: Heather

Heather is the Queen of Characterization; her Logan and Marie are my favorite renditions. Her style is delicate and light, but her aim is dead accurate. "Bittersweet" is my favorite story, closely followed by "Evolution".

Unfortunately, Heather has reported that the well is dry and the muse has abandoned her. The site is down, but I've searched the internet for links to her stories and updated them. Hopefully someday she will return, or at least allow me to archive her fabulous work.

  • Bittersweet - Heather
  • Evolution - Heather
  • Finding Center - Heather
  • Love Notes - Heather
  • No More Words - Heather
  • Strip Chocolate - Heather

Site Administrator: Terri

What can I say about Terri except that you shouldn't drink anything while reading her stories? She's a master of comedy and her dramatic works are pretty damn good, too. Try "Good Girl" for a smutty snort-laughin' fest and "Bizarre Love Triangle" for some warm fuzzy feelings.

Site Administrator: Karen

Karen's a twister. Just when you think you've figured her out, she comes around and blindsides you with humor, heartbreak or love. She's a clever hand with words and her characters are a helluva lot of fun to romp with. My favorite would have to be "Like Father, Like Son Or Maybe Not!" because of the flying Barbie doll.

Another author who's website disappeared into cyberspace! I can't take it, I tell you. I haven't found where she's keeping her tales, so for now, most of the links are down.

  • Cold Hands, Warm Heart - Karen
  • Jeopardy, X-Men Style - Karen & Terri
  • Like Father, Like Son Or Maybe Not! - Karen
  • The Road Series - Karen

Site Administrator: Elektra a.k.a. Wolvinatrix

First off the bat, many thanks to Elektra for hosting her site. I will list stories below, but please know that I cannot provide you with direct links because the site set-up. Be forewarned that not all stories in Elektra's site are Wolverine & Rogue; the ones listed below are, though. Please check out "Twenty-One Now" by Nancy Lorenz for some good, drunken fun; "ChickFic" by Hunter for some good, fluffy fun; and "Head First in the Oven - Pathos Is a Way of Life" by Lady T for some good, naughty fun.

GONE! This one's gone, too! Oh, the agony! I've tried to find as many fics as I can...

Site Administrator: Sare Liz

Sare Liz is one of the best when it comes to style. There's a lot of time to swim around in characters' skulls and her smut is equal to none. She also writes one of my favorite versions of Logan: animalistic, introspective, possessive and emotionally-sensitive. Her masterpiece is the trilogy, "Viscosity".

General Recommendations

  • The Xavier Mansion Diaries - Troll Princess - shamelessly ripped from Cassandra Claire's Very Secret Diaries of the Fellowship of the Ring, which in turn was inspired by Bridget Jones' Diary by Helen Fielding. Features a condiment war, a very naked and lickable Logan and Magneto calling Mystique "Pookie" while she's playing Xavier.

  • Love and Lust at Mutant High - Jenn - hormones and mutations run rampant in this very long, very engrossing and well-written magnum opus. I love the style and the character of St. John is just delicious. Slashy, soapy fun from start to finish.

  • Lessons on the Side - Nancy Lorenz - fiction in jpegs (scanned notes passed between Jubilee and Rogue) in which Jubes goads Rogue by constantly writing about Logan's "package" and thinks everything can be solved by a shorter skirt.
