The Green Room First Presbyterian Theatre director Thom Hofrichter seeks 3 men aged 30-55 to
audition for ART by Yasmina Reza's, translation by Christopher Hampton on Monday
December 3, at 7 pm in the theater. Rehearsals begin in December of 2001 and
performances run February 7-23, 2002. Auditioners should be familiar with the
script, and copies are available to be checked out for a period of 5 days for a
$10 deposit. Call 422-6329 for more information. The witty play, which has been
translated into 20 languages, explores the delicate art of friendship when two
men deal with their friend who spends $40,000 on a ridiculous all-white
painting. The Broadway play starred Alan Alda, Victor Garber, and Alfred Molina. * * * * * * Wayne Williams continues to shine offstage in NYC. His latest goal is the job
of production assistant for the Broadway production of THE CRUCIBLE starring
Liam Neeson. * * * * * * Local actor Christopher Sloan was a big hit in the touring production of
CABARET, which had its debut in Fort Wayne last month. Although the Embassy
seating did not allow for the cabaret-style atmosphere the Broadway production
did, there was plenty of audience participation. In addition to the production,
local actors Tom Young and Andrew Gross, who got front row seats, enjoyed being
"propositioned" from the stage by two (male) chorus members during
intermission. --- For more information, go to
