The Green Room IMPROVISATIONAL COMEDY AUDITIONS Edwards Productions seeks to fill 36 roles with their production of the
improvisational comedy TONY 'N' TINA'S WEDDING. "It is a great piece for
anyone who is new to theater," says co-founder Brent Blalock. "It
gives them a chance to be on stage and learn the craft of community
theater." Auditions are Sunday, January 5, at 7:00 p.m. at 148 E. Collins Drive. They
need male and female actors with outgoing personalities, aged 16 through 70. No
theatrical experience is necessary. Production dates are February 14 through 16,
at the Botanical Conservatory at 1100 South Calhoun. The play satirizes the
Italian-American wedding. But unlike MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING, the audience
participates in all aspects of the fictitious event. In addition to the scripted
show, guests attend the ceremony, go through the receiving line into the
reception, participate in the toast and enjoy an Italian buffet and wedding
cake. Scripts available for loan with a $10 deposit. For more information, call

Presbyterian Theatre. Last seen as Gustav in THE CHRISTMAS SCHOONER at First
Pres, Joel also proposed to his wife, Samantha Teter, on the theater's stage
after a performance of THE ACTOR'S NIGHTMARE. Speaking of FPT engagements, rumor has it that two other members of the cast
of THE CHRISTMAS SCHOONER have recently become engaged to each other. Last but not least, CHRISTMAS SCHOONER cast member Eileen Claypool Ahlersmyer
and her husband Bob Ahlersmyer celebrated two years of wedding bliss on December
29. Be careful when you audition for a show at First Pres. There must be
something in the water. ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT They didn't meet at First Presbyterian Theatre, but they did meet during a
theatrical production. Ric Geist and Beverly McCavitt announced their engagement
on November 27. "The proposal was very romantic," says Bev. "It
touched on all of our history and all the things that have meant a lot to
us." Unfortunately, Bev did not share any details. Ric and Bev met performing in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF at the Fort Wayne Civic in
1997. They will take on new roles in the musical at Wells Community Theatre
January 31 and February 1 and 2, with a final performance at the Embassy Theater
on February 9. This time, Ric stars as Tevye. Spring Registration for IPFW Community Arts Academy Classes Included in these classes are "Acting with Action," by instructor
Melissa Dowty, who recently starred as Amalia in IPFW's production of SHE LOVES

students grade 6 through 12 with an interest in acting are encouraged. The classes meet eight Saturdays, from February 1 through March 22. www.greenroomonline.org |
