"THREE VIEWINGS" AUDITIONS First Presbyterian Theater has added a new show to the 2003-04 season,
allowing stage manager Joel Scribner another opportunity to direct. The
comedy/drama THREE VIEWINGS, set in a funeral home, will run January 16-25. The
play consists of three separate monologues by a man (35-65), and two women
(25-40 and 50-70). To audition, contact Joel by October 20 at (260) 422-6329. * * * * * LARRY LIFE BIRTHDAY ROAST On September 14, IPFW Theatre Department head was roasted for his 60th
birthday. "Everyone had a good time stickin' it to Larry," says an
unnamed source. "Larry also had a great time and was truly honored that
there were so many people that loved him enough to make fun of him." * * * * * "HAIRSPRAY" IN CHICAGO WITH IPFW The IPFW School of Visual and Performing Arts invites the public to join them
on their annual trip to Chicago on Saturday, January 3, to see the 2:00 p.m.
performance of HAIRSPRAY, winner of eight Tony Awards including Best Musical.
The role of Edna Turnblad, made famous by actor Harvey Fierstein on Broadway
will be played by Bruce Vilanch, mop-topped writer for the Oscars and
"Hollywood Squares" guest. Round trip coach service and a performance
ticket are included in the $135 per person price. Payment deadline is October
13. Guests will depart Fort Wayne at 8:00 a.m., attend a 2:00 p.m. matinee of
HAIRSPRAY at the Oriental Theatre and return to Fort Wayne at approximately
11:00 p.m. All meals are the responsibility of each passenger and will be in

performance of COME BACK TO THE FIVE AND DIME, JIMMY DEAN, JIMMY DEAN, which
runs through October 18. Hors d'oeuvres will be served along with a cash bar. In
the play, a middle-aged James Dean fan club meets for their twentieth reunion.
One of them, who was an extra in the film GIANT, claims to have a son by the
actor. Dinner served will include fried chicken, biscuits, and pecan pie. The theatre will also reprise its 2000 sell-out hit NUNCRACKERS: THE NUNSENSE
CHRISTMAS MUSICAL this November/December. Director Darrell Monroe will hold
auditions on October 5 and 6. * * * * * FILM ACTOR NEEDED FOR SHORT Michele Andrews seeks an actor (18-45) who can do an Australian accent to
portray a dialect instructor in her upcoming short film HOW 2 SPEAK AUSTRALIAN.
Filming will be Saturday October 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The short will
be entered in the Australian short film festival, Tropfest, in January. Contact
