INDIANA SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL
The Indiana Shakespeare Festival still needs a few more male actors for its inaugural production of A CRY OF PLAYERS. Written by William Gibson (THE MIRACLE WORKER), the play is an imagined account of Shakespeare's life as a young man in Stratford. Small stipends are available for this project. Rehearsals, which run Monday through Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. in Bloomington, are at Bloomington High School South and the play will be performed at the John Waldron Arts Center. Those interested should contact Artistic Director Phil Kasper immediately at

SUMMER ARTS WORKSHOPS, ARTS CAMP AT IPFW
IPFW School of Visual and Performing Arts will present special workshops for adults in art, dance, theatre, and music on Wednesday, July 14, 2004. The $25 registration fee includes lunch and two complimentary theatre tickets to any performance of the IPFW American Classics Summer Theatre Revue between July 9 through 18. In one workshop, "Putting It Together," Professor Larry L. Life will take you step by step on the journey of developing a musical production from beginning rehearsals to opening night. Concept discussions and weekly production meetings will be focused on, as well as dance, vocal, and staging rehearsals. It’s a real nuts-and-bolts look at the reality of creating "Theatre Magic."
The kids can also participate in arts workshops. In "Theatre Masters," students in grades 6-12 build their skill in character development through acting, voice and movement techniques. Monologues and scene work are used. This workshop is 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. July 19-23, for $99 per week.
IPFW also offers Show Choir Camp, giving students in grades 6-9 the opportunity to develop or refresh their dancing and singing skills while having fun with friends. This camp runs July 19-23 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for $210 (materials included). Registration/payment for both student camps is due by July 2; add $5 after this date.
