HOT VIBES: How does it feel now that your solo career is starting to take off?
GREG:It's great, I mean it's something I've always dreamed about in my whole life and it's really great to get on that stage and be doing songs that I wrote myself and it's a lot more personal that way and it's great I love it.

Are you talking with any record labels about getting a record deal?
Yeah we're talking to a few labels right now. I'm not too sure on what I'm gunna do yet but yeah there's a few negotiations going on.

Has your fan reaction changed from your pop music to your rock music?
I think everyone in the audience is jumping around a lot more and is feeling the music a lot more than they used to in Dream Street. Dream Street was a lot of you know, there was still screaming and everything like that but now I'm really trying to get fans to start moving a little more you know jump up and down and throw your hands in the air and just you know, the whole thing.

When do you expect to release your album?
I'm still recording right now so I'm in the studio just about everyday and as soon as I finish it, you know I have 5 songs finished already but theres still a lot of work that goes into recording an album. Theres mixing and mastering theres a whole lot of stuff to do so it might take a while but I mean I'm writing songs just one after another and that stuff is going pretty quick and I'm co-writing a few songs with the guys in the band and thats not really a problem it's just a long process but as soon as I can you know.

Where did you meet the guys in your band?
I met the guys in the band, basically after Dream Street and the problems we were having I've been writing music and playing the guitar since I was 6 So I've been writing songs since I was about 7 or 8. So basically I just found a recording studio and I went there and I started recording songs that I wrote myself and one of the interns there was my bass player, he interned at the recording studio and I was talking to him and I was like 'Yeah you know I want to start doing live shows with I guess just the tracks right now but I want to get a band together' and do the whole big thing and he was like 'You know what, I have a lot of friends and I know a lot of people and some of the best musicians around and I could really try to put them together if your really serious about this stuff' and I was like definitley so we got together all the people we knew and I got so much thanks for my band, they're such skilled people. They're really great .. like musical prodigys and I really look up to them for t heir musical talents and stuff and their really amazing. And we just got together and it's like magic on stage.

Do you get along well with the guys in the band?
Yeah they're great, they're like my new best friends. They're really cool guys

So you work together well?
Yeah there's really good chemistry between us so it works out pretty well

The song "We're In Love" is where you bring a girl on stage. What was the inspiration behind that, is there a story behind it?
Yeah when I was on tour I met a girl in California and we became pretty close but it was tough because you know California and New York and that was pretty much my inspiration for that.

Is there anything special on your Christmas list?
Basically right now my Christmas list is going to the recording studio because thats money out of my own pockets so my dad, my mom and my family they are the ones pretty much best in me and thats pretty much my Christmas present.

Whats your best pick up line?
Best pick up line? Oh man .. uh I dunno. I'm not into t he whole pick up line thing I'm not like "Hey .." you know, yeah I don't think I've ever used one.

Have they been used on you?
I don't know, I guess so but thats different thats not like .. you know

So tonight there was a girl with Greg written all over her face and she was crying, how do you deal with that, is it weird?
That's so flattering, I mean to see somebody crying I almost feel bad because I'm like oh man, so I felt bad because she was crying so I had her sit down and try to relax. It's really sweet, theres not too much I can really do I just try to make her feel better

Do you have a message for your fans?
You know I just want to thank everybody for their support because it really means a lot to me especially with everything with Dream Street and now I'm doing my own stuff. For fans to you know stick with me and keep coming to my shows and supporting me that really means a lot to me. I devoted a lot of my life to Dream Street, I was there since I was 12-13 you know and now I'm doing things on my own and for people to actually still be supporting me in what I'm doing it means SO much to me and seeing everybodys faces at the concerts, everytime I go on stage and all I can do is say thank you, just a big ole' thanks.

Do you like just moving around on stage rather than the choreography you used to do?
You know what, Dream Street was great I mean I'm not gunna lie and say I didn't like it and that I'm glad I'm out of it. I loved Dream Street with all my heart ever since I was 12, but being on stage now I mean when you were on stage with 5 guys it was always a big thing between the 5 of us to make sure on person wasn't upstaging the other person and that we all remained equal. We didn't want to end up like *NSYNC where JC and Justin were the 2 lead guys and there were the other 3 in the background. It was really important to us that we all remained in the spotlight and nobody was in the background and we had to be very aware of what we did. Now when I'm not stage by myself I can just jump into the audience and let loose a lot more and improvise and do what I want. So theres a lot more freedom to what I'm doing now but I also miss being on stage with my 4 best friends, sharing all the great times with them and stuff but you move on and I'm having a great time right now and thats just life you know
