HOT VIBES: So how has the Aaron tour been going for you?
GREG: Very Good...[laughs] just kidding. I'm having a lot of fun on the Aaron tour, yeah it's cool because there's a lot of faces I haven't seen in a long time especially on the different coasts. It's definitley the best part, seeing people that I haven't seen for like years you know? So it's really cool. Plus it's been awhile since I've been on the road so it's a lot of fun.

Have you had a favorite show yet?
Not really off the top of my head, but I was really looking forward to the Jones Beach one but then uh .. right, Self explanitory.

You perform on the East Coast so often, when you performed on the West Coast did you recieve a different fan reaction?
Oh yeah of course, I mean I don't want to sound biased or whatever but nothing compares to the to the East Coast fans but I live in the East Coast so it's like nothing compares to home.

What have been the best and worst parts of being on the Aaron Carter tour?
The worst part is that I don't have my band, that is by far the worst part and it really just kills me. The best part would probably just be the fact that I'm on the road and doing shows every night and I'm meeting a lot of really cool people and making new friends.

Do you have any plans after the Aaron tour?
Yeah I do! We're trying to put together a tour that I might be doing starting in September, like a mall tour. Am I allowed to say that Jon? Well yeah, I have plans .. I'll be doing stuff. [Note: The mall tour is NOT confirmed]

What was it like bein in NY when the blackout happened?
It's wasn't too bad until I had to go to sleep that night and it was so hot and I couldn't fall asleep. At Jones Beach I was about to do my soundcheck and they told me the power was out so I couldn't. So I ended up waiting around for awhile .. so the black out, when did it happen? I dunno but there weren't that many people there really and obviously there are those girls that show up so early. There was maybe about 50 girls just standing outside the gate, so we were at Jones Beach for awhile and we couldn't leave because of traffic so I kind of felt bad for them sitting out there so I went out and hung with them for a little while. But we just waited around Jones Beach until it was a good time to drive home.

What happened with your CD being pushed back to September 2nd?
Well I'm not too sure, what they told me was that the machine was broken or something like that but I don't really know.

Out of all the songs you've written, do you have a favorite?
Each song I wrote is about a different experience, that's almost like saying have you had a favorite life experience sort of thing. No I don't really have a favorite, each song is like a different thing I've gone through and that I've felt. SO .. no, not a favorite.

What are your plans for college?
I'm taking the first semester off college, just because I'm touring now and I have a bunch of stuff going on .. but depending on, well the album is coming out September 2nd so it's like I'be been saying I'm kind of nervous about this whole album thing and keeping my fingers crossed because it's really the thing that's going to make or break me almost. If it does really well then you know I'll do a second one and if it doesn't then who's going to want to do a second one with me? So we're going to see what happens and if I'm lucky then I'm lucky and if I'm not then I've got a second semester of college to attend.

Do you have a major?
I'm an undecided business major

Is it ever tiring touring with your family so much?
I don't tour with them really, they come to my East Coast shows but my whole touring entourage is me and my manager Jon. It's a pretty small entourage ..

Are you still flying to every Aaron show?
I'm doing a little bit of both .. flying, driving and hitchiking on other people's busses.

Originally we were supposed to do this interview at your Radio Disney show in Boston, so we wanted to know: What is your favorite Disney character?
That's tough, I like a lot of them. I like Goofy, Donald Duck, Mikey Mouse .. OH Jessica Rabbit. She's a Disney character right? Yeah I don't think I have a specific favorite, You'd have to give me a book with all of them in a row and then I could tell you which one but I don't want to say one and then forget about another and be like 'oh no that ones my favorite'.

And what is going on with the commercial for your album? Is it done?
They made the commercial and then they sent it out to these stations and the TV stations were saying something like they couldn't play it and we had to re-do it so I think they are re-doing it now.

Thanks for the interview Greg!

A big thanks to Jon and Aunt Laura for scheduling the interview, and the rest of Greg's family for being supportive of Hot Vibes. And then of course Greg for sitting down right before he had to perform
