The Plot:
This is the story of three guys in their early 30's, Mitch (Wilson), Frank (Ferrell), and Beanie (Vaughn), who try to relive their old college glory days by moving into a large house near their old campus. They inadvertently form an "unofficial fraternity", where students can enjoy all the riches of the partying lifestyle without the commitment that comes with having to abide by the university's fraternity rules. Soon, however, the realities of their past lives catches up with their wild college lifestyles. (From Yahoo Movies)
My Thoughts: (Reviewed by K-Billy)
This movie was extremely funny. The movie was very different then I thought it would be, but that’s perfectly alright with me, because this movie was great. As far as the acting goes, not enough good things can be said about Will Ferrell, he is one of the funniest men alive. Whether he’s streaking, shooting himself with a tranquilizer, or downing beers through a bong, everything he does in this movie is funny. Luke Wilson is great as Mitch, as the apprehensive guy who doesn’t really like to break the rules. And Vince Vaughn is really funny as Beanie, a husband who hates married life, and is a bad influence on the other two. But is he truly the way he acts? As far as the plot, it was original and different then most of the shock, gross out comedies these days, so that was very nice, and I really enjoyed the cast as I said above. I won’t go into anymore of the movie though, cuz I don’t want to ruin it. I’d definitly recommend this movie to anyone. Oh and watch for the van obduction sequence, because this is one of the funniest movie scenes I’ve seen in a while.
