Dreamlover video was filmed on the location in the upstate New York. Opening shoot starts with Mariah swimming in a stream by a waterfall. At the shooting she refused to go to the water, because it was too cold. So director Diane Martel jumped in and only than Mariah dived in. In Dreamlover video you can really feel summer in the air. Mariah looks very relaxed and free. She is dressed in a jeans shorts and a blue shirt. Mariah is singing and lying on a field of wildflowers. She is also singing in front of a group of hip-hop dancers. Who really blend into situation. Mariah is also flying around in a hot-air baloon. On that they had quite some problems because of the strong wind, so they were afraid to let Mariah go. Video for the first time features Mariah's dog Jack, who jumped in the water in one scene and they decided to keep him.
Dreamlover is probably one of Mariah's the most popular and frequently played video on TV.
