 | Napoleonic Campaigns:The Regiment was involved in the manouevre on Ulm in 1805 and later fought at the battle of Austerlitz; 2 December 1805 forming part of General Suchet's Division of Lannes's V Corps. In 1806 it was present at the clash at Saalfeld; 10 October 1806 the battle of Jena; 14 October 1806 and at the battle of Pultusk; 26 December 1806 again forming part of Lannes command. In 1807 the 4eme battalion saw service at the battle of Friedland; 14 June 1807. It was transferred to the Spanish theatre in 1808 and partTicipated in the battle of Ocana; 19 November 1808 and the siege of Zaragoza; 26 December 1808. From 1809-1813 the Regiment remained in the Peninsula although elementys saw service in Saxony in 1813. In 1810 it fought at the clash of Villa Garcia; 11 August 1810, the siege of Olivenca; 2 January 1811, the 7 - 11 February the siege of Badajoz, the defence of Badajoz; 10-11 May 1811 and the battle of Albuhera; 16 May 1811. The Regiment did not see service in the disasterous campaign in Russia but remained in Spain and was involved in the defence of Burgos; August - November 1812. In 1813 it participated in the battle of Lutzen; 2 May 1813, the battle of Wurschen; 21 May 1813, the defence of San Sebastian; July - September 1813, the battle of Bidassoa; 1 September 1813, the defence of Dresden; October 1813, the battle of Nivelle; 10 November 1813 and the battle of Bayonne; 13 December 1813. In 1814 it wqas represented at the clash at Arcis-sur-Aube; 20 March 1814. The campaign of the hundred days saw it fight at the battle of Ligny; 16 June 1815, Wavre; 18 June 1815, the clash at Namur; 21 June 1815, the defence of Rocroy; 19 July 1815 and the defence of Givet; August - September 1815. |
