Comments: This was an early electric design and flew by shear brute force of the Cobalt 05 motor. I was using the first speed controller Astroflight made. Performance was great but flight times were a little short. After a crash and bending the shaft on my 05 I converted the Classic Bipe to a .15 gas engine. Performance was outstanding. This plane would flat spin like none I had seen before, flat like a plate. After building the suzy and its steller performance I will rebuild the Classic Bipe again and apply what I have learned. Also, with the newer batteries now available flight times will be extended greatly.
A really nice thing about the size of this plane is that you can rig it up and leave it in one piece. And when you go flying just grab it by the top wing and away you go ready to fly.
Sad to day the Classic Bipe was stolen from our home by a Christmas thief. That was years ago but if you have seen this plane in bright red with yellow sunbursts and a gas .15 engine. It’s mine.
