Delta Wing Specifications: 50 inch wingspan / 24inch length / 435inch wingarea / 32ounce weight / 10ounce wingloading. A swept back delta flying wing.
Controls: elevons.
Equipment: Two Hitec HS-20 servos, Hitec 535 receiver, 7.2v speed 400 motor, Robbe 6x3 prop, 6 or 7 - 500ma or 600ma cells, Jeti JES10 ESC.
Construction materials: Balsa, spruce, 1/16 plywood and covered with Monocote.
Comments: The Delta Wing originally was designed for a Speed 400 Ha! Ha! But there wasn’t enough power to really fly it. So a Speed 600 and a 8x6 prop was strapped in with a 7 cell 1250ma pack. That made it fly like it looks. Fast. . . And it doesn’t slow down. Cutting the throttle just meant it got quieter. I still laugh just thinking about flying this Wing. It rolls like it is on rails. Control is stable and predictable. And eventually it will slow down enough to land.
People always ask why I put rudders on my flying wings. To See It Better. Because from the side or front there is not much to see and as fast as this thing is it gets out of sight quick!
