Comments: This is Dave's Aircraft Works Staudacher S300 GS Foamie Electric and is a fun little plane. It comes with a very comlete instructions and is easy to build. I made some changes to my S300. I put a gearbox and a large prop. I figured if it didn't work I could always put the direct drive prop back on. My first 3 flights were with the Graupner Mini-Olympus 2.3:1 gearbox and I was pleased with the performance. But on the third flight I got carried away and munched the S300. I bent the shaft on the gearbox so I replaced it with the Wattage gearbox. It comes with 3 pinions and I tried the smallest pinion first. Unfortunately there was not enough power and I had a fast taxi. I've changed the pinion but have not tried it again.
