Comments: The Suzy has outdistanced my expectations for this plane. Loops, rolls, rolling 360's, inverted flight this plane turns quick and is very solid and stable it goes where you point it. It is a blast to fly. Takeoffs a breeze even with the standard gear. It accelerates quickly, the rudder takes hold, and its straight down the runway the elevator slowly comes up followed by a quick lift off and a nice climb out. After 7 minutes of fun flying its time to land. Cut the throttle and with the prop windmilling glide in for a smooth landing with power left over to taxi back to the parking spot. Ground control is good, typical for a standard gear, sometimes you have to fight the wind.
I will say I fly from a nicely paved runway. With the wheel pants and small tail wheel handling may not be good on a dirt field. Being a shoulder wing the Suzy wants to roll out of an outside loop and there just isn't enough power to hold a knife-edge. The roll rate is quick but snap rolls and spins are not spectacular, maybe the vertical stab is too large, but I'm slowly moving the CG aft to try improving the spin. The Mini-Olympus gearbox needed some adjusting to get it to work smoothly but now its quiet and smooth. It sounds cool in the air.
The Suzy is a nice looking and flying plane. It has a nice sized battery bay with a hatch where the batteries can be changed quickly. It will take a wide variety of batteries.
