Sizzle Specifications: 36 inch wingspan / 22.5 inch length / 144inch wingarea / 15 ounce weight / 15ounce wingloading / symmetrical wing with an NACA64010 airfoil.

Controls: ailerons, elevator and motor speed.

Equipment: Two Cirrus CS-10BB servos on ailerons and 1 Cirrus CS-10BB on the elevator, HITEC 555 receiver, 7.2v speed 400 motor, Graupner Mini-Olympus 2.3:1 gearbox with a 9x6 APC SlowFly propeller. Note: this is not a standard APC prop but a lightened thinner prop for electric's only. And it works great. Eight 600ma nicads or Eight 1250 NMHI cells, Jeti JES10 ESC w/BEC. Flight times are 5:30 minutes on the 650ma and 7 minutes on the 800ma cells.

Construction materials: Balsa, spruce, 1/16 plywood, wing covered with Monocote and painted with Krylon spray paint.

Comments: The Sizzle as seen above the Speed 400 on the left and the slope silloette in a flyby. It flys great. Loops, rolls, rolling 360's, inverted flight this plane turns quick and zippy. With the two servos in the wing a flip of the flap switch and the sizzle will really climb out or slow down for a smooth landing. In the slope version there is a lot of lift gained when the lift turns light. I built the Sizzle as a small sport plane. A second fuselage without the motor and it turns into a sloper.

More Comments: I've flown over 3 hours on the Slope Sizzle now and about a dozen fights on the powered Sizzle. By far the slope Sizzle is my pick. I think the higher wing loading for the powered version is a drawback. The 10oz wieght of the Slope version I thought would be a problem but it has great penetrations (High Speed) It can be tossed around in really bumpy air but it's controls are crisp and very responsive. I think the Sloper has spoiled me. For one thing I can get a lot more stick time on the slope. Second I was hoping to make a nice sport flyer. My first flights were with a Speed 400 6volt motor but I changed to a 7.2v speed 400 motor the decrease in speed also decreased the performance. So I'm gonna put a 6 volt motor back in and I'll try a 480 motor and maybe even put a brushless motor in.
