Tempest Specifications: 30 inch wingspan / 23inch length / 120inch wingarea / 19ounce weight / 23ounce wingloading / symmetrical wing with an NACA64-212airfoil.

Controls: ailerons, elevator, rudder and motor speed.

Equipment: Two Cirrus CS-10BB servos one aileron and one on elevator, HITEC 555 receiver, 6v speed 400 motor with a 5x5 Graupner propeller. Seven 600ma nicads, Viper Model Products Micro Demon 102 BEC/Brake. Flight times are 4 minutes on the 600ma.

Construction materials: Balsa, spruce, 1/16 plywood and finished with Krylon spray paint.

Comments: The Tempest is my attempt at a Skat like balsa built up plane. Unfortunately it suffered from a too short of nose and the CG was just to far back and it was too sensitive on the controls and well as it happens I stalled it and crashed on the first flight. But that flight was full of promise the climb out was brisk and had good speed. But its back to the drawing board and the next one will have a slightly longer nose. Also from the other designs I’ve completed the problems encountered building the first Tempest I believe I will overcome and make an even better plane…
