FAQ

1. Why does the actual size view show the picture larger than it appears in print?

To compensate for a generally coarser screen resolution than print, the OS reports the screen is larger than it actually is. These dimensions are referred to as "logical" inches and millimeters. This is a "feature" rather than a bug according to the OS publisher.

2. Why are many of the buttons and menu items disabled?

If your PC does not have a default printer assigned, then several of the program's features will be initially unavailable. Use the print setup function to select a printer.

3. Why won't printed pages align properly?

Some printers don't seem to be capable of insuring that the printed area is exactly the same size from page to page. The cause seems to be related to how precisely the printer can pull the paper through itself. There may be no solution to this problem except to get a new printer, but trying a different type of paper may also help.

4. What is the maximum size of a picture?

Some testing has been performed on a picture sized 10000 x 10000 inches (1.2 million letter size pages). A few of the pages were printed and they aligned properly. To avoid massive memory allocations, page layout view and individual page selection will not be available if a picture comprises more than one million pages. A page range will have to be specified when printing in these cases.
