Confidence lift for hungry Blues.

By Lee Jeloscek.
A determined Sturt easliy accounted for a disappointing Glenelg by 56 points at Unley Oval yesterday.
Sturt entered the game with just one win for the season, but showed the hunger, skill and class needed to outrun the erratic Tigers.
Glenelg began the game full of steam, with Kane Cornes (28 possessions) and James Byrne (29 possessions) racking up possessions in the centre, but returned after half-time a different side, buckling under the pressure applied by the desperate Sturt outfit.
A relieved Phil Carman said he was pleased with the intensity applied by his charges.
"A few people are pretty happy with the win, but I'm just relieved we won," Carman said.
"It's been said that we've lacked confidence this year, but wins like this help to build confidence, which is important.
A win can do wonderful things for a team.
"I thought it was a good four quarter effort - Glenelg threw everything at us in the first half, and we were able to absorb that and lift after half-time."
Tim Weatherald (17 kicks, 14 handballs), Seamus Maloney (16 kicks, 8 handballs) and rugged half-back Dean Woosnam (16 possessions) consistently foiled Glenelg's forward thrusts, propelling the ball back toward the dangerous Sturt forward line.
In contrast to Glenelg who struggled in attack, Sturt's key forwards were brilliant in the air with Stephen White (eight marks, 4.1 ) and Julian Burton (20 possesions, 10 marks, 1.3) grabbing everything, while also creating play for the crumbers Rhyse Schulz and Adam Klun. While the first half was a tight, dogged affair, the second half was a different story, Sturt outscoring the lethargic Glenelg outfit 9.7 to 2.5 in an effort that disappointed coach Brenton Honor.
"I though we overused the ball in the first half, I think we had about 180 touches, and we were making mistakes, but at least we were getting the ball," said Honor.
"We over-finessed it a bit, but in the second half we hardly got our hands on it, so when we made mistakes - which I think we made far too many off - it hurt us a lot more.
"In the second half when Sturt lifted the intensity, I think a few players started fumbling more and losing confidence, which is really disappointing.
Something I pride myself on is being hard at the ball, and we weren't."
