Description/Comment: I frequent the Anime Unleashed message boards over at www.techtv.com. One of the boards has been running a thread where a few of the members draw original characters as requested. I requested this character, I called Julie Lin, with the following message.

Name: Julie Lin (name doesn't reall matter to me)
Gender: Female
Job title: Waitress + assassin (that sounds fun)
Personality: Calm and sexy (the world is hers, and she always puts on a show like someone is watching her and she wants to put on a show)
Height/weight: About 5'5" and 100-150lbs. (weight is hard to say cause she is thin but still curvy and slightly busty)
Hair style: Shiny black, would hang down to her waist but she is starting to bunch it up at the back of her head.
Costume: Long sleeveless Chinese dress that stops halway between her knees and feet. Dress fits her form well. Slit on left, our right, side of the dress runs from her hip to the bottom of the dress allowing one leg to be covered and the other to be fully exposed when standing with feet about two feet apart. If colored her dress would be lucky-red and have gold triming at all edges like bottom of dress, the slit edges, and arm holes. A chinese dragon on the front right, our left, waves it's way from the bottom to her chest circling her right breast. The dragon is green with gold trim. The top of the dress ends about one inch up her neck.
Any additional comments: She is in the process of putting her hair up with two chopstick like things. To follow the assassin theme the would be sharp. She is holding one chopstick thing between her lips the other is in one of the hands at the top of her head and it has some, but not all, hair wrapped around it, some of her hair still hangs down. She has both hands above her head working on her hair. She would have on some lipstick but no other makeup. No belt, no arm or hand jewelry, no neck jewelry, no earings, and no leg or foot jewelry. She is wearing some short heeled shoes that match the color of her dress. And in the background ofthe pic there are two chibi guys using one of those large dragon puppets that you see at parades and festivals, you only see the back guys feet but the front guy has the head lifted in the air and is twisting it so all the decoration is swinging in that direction.

I decided I would also draw her. I didn't make the two guys chibi, instead I did a simplified stereotypical depiction. Sorry to all guests of asian, praticularly Chinese, descent. I am including the rough b&w version and the final colored version. Enjoy.
