Chapter 1: The SeeD Test

Great, more T-rexes. Just what I needed," I said as I started to attack the T-rexes. One of the T-rexes came and slashed me across the face when I tried to dodge its attack.

"Hey, do you need some help?" asked a guy.

"Just get their attention for a bit. I'll handle the rest," I replied.

"All right!" he yelled as he got the two monsters attention.

"Strike Lazar Claw!" I yelled as I summoned my GF. A GF is a guardian force, which protects the user when summoned. My GF is called White Blaze, a tiger GF. The GF killed the two monsters and I said to the guy, "Thanks for helping me. My name is Amara."

"Nice to meet you Amara. My name is Heero. We better get you to the doctor, Miss Trepe, for you face wounds," Heero stated.

"The wounds are minor," I said.

"They still need to get treated. I'll walk you there," he said as we started to walk to the doctor's office. "So what were you doing out in the training area so late at night?"

"I have a SeeD test tomorrow. I want all the practice I can get. And what about you, why are you out here this late?" I asked.

"I too, also have the SeeD test tomorrow. Maybe we will be on the same team. I hope we are," Heero stated.

We finally reached the doctor's office. "You can go, Heero," I tolled him.

"Nah, that's all right," he said as we walked into the office.

"Hello, you two. What happened?" Miss Trepe asked.

"We were attacked by T-rexes and one of them slashed her face," Heero stated.

"It doesn't look too bad, but it probably will leave a scar," Miss Trepe stated as she wrapped my wounds.

"It's nothing major and plus if I let these wounds bother me now then how will I ever be able to become a SeeD?" I said.

"Why do you want to become a SeeD?" Miss Trepe asked.

"To live and see the world, I guess. Why?" I replied.

"It's nothing. So, you are a twin blade gun master, sounds fun. Don't get yourself killed in the process. I won't keep you from getting a good nights sleep, so I'm going to let you two go now," Miss Trepe said as we left.

"I hate it when people treat me like a kid," I stated to Heero.

"Me too. That is one of my reasons why I want to become a SeeD. I want to get respect and be treated like more of an adult. Well we are in the dorms now so I'll catch you later. Night Amara," Heero said.

"Good night, Heero," I said as I entered my dorm. I changed into my nightwear and then went to bed.

"Knock, Knock. Amara time to get up!" Heero yelled.

"I'm up thanks to you. Is it time already for the SeeD test?" I asked.

"Yes, just about, and we are to report to the first floor hallway. I'm going to wait for you," Heero said.

"You know you don't have to wait for me," I said, as I got dressed.

"Yeah, I know, but I want to," Heero said as I came out of my dorm.

"We are going to be late! This is not going to look good will it?" I asked.

"Who cares as long as we make it," Heero said laughing.

"That's not funny!" I yelled. "Oh and do you want to know the other reason why I want to become a SeeD?"

"What?" Heero asked.

"To find where Lt. Squall is. I'm sure you have heard the rumors how some say Lt. Squall ran away, or that somebody kidnapped him, well I believe neither one of them," I finished talking as we came to the first floor hallway.

"Good morning Amara, Heero. You two and Vash make up squad C. You are to guard the back entrance. Amara you are to be the squad C leader. Do not make poor judgments and don't worry if you fail. Come back if you think you are in grave danger. This is my brief of the mission," Rinoa our instructed stated.

We went to the car that would drive us to Balamb City were we would then be taken to Timber in a vessel. When we got to the City we climbed into the vessel and as we sat down as Xu came in.

"I bet you all feel glad that you made it this far, but you still have a long ways to go. As you all know today is the SeeD exam. I am sure Rinoa told you this, but Amara, since you are the squad leader you will be carrying more of the burden. I don't want to put stress on you Amara, so don't make any harsh judgments. You are to all guard the back entrance. If you fail do not sweat it. There will be many SeeDs to finish the job if necessary. Everyone good luck and take care," Xu said as she left the room.

"So Rinoa, let me get this straight, we are to go to Timber and try and get Timber's independence from Galbidia, right?" I asked.

"That is correct, why do you ask?" Rinoa asked back.

"No reason. I'm going up on top to look at the view," I said as I climbed to the upper level.

I then thought, to get independence for Timber, but didn't Timber receive their independence when Lt. Squall and the others defeated Ultmicia? I just know Timber did get their independence I just know they did.

I looked up from my daze and realized that this wasn't Timber at all. Were the hell are we going?

"Hey, Amara. This isn't Timber is it?" asked Heero.

"No, it isn't, but who cares as long as we complete the mission," I stated.

"Yeah but," Heero started. "Looks like we are docking. We should get to the shore and move out."

"Right," I said as we headed to the dock.

As we all were about to run off to our assigned area Rinoa yelled, "Remember have fun and enjoy this experience. Don't give up hope, EVER."

"Right," yelled Vash back to Rinoa.

On the way to our area we ran into seven soldiers but lucky for us no one got hurt. We then arrived to our assigned area.

"So what do we do now, leader?" asked Vash.

"Well, for one thing you don't have to call me leader, call me Amara. For now we just wait here and guard this area. How boring," I said.

"Ah! Somebody help us!" yelled someone as though right on key when I said this was boring.

"Sounds like someone needs our help. We can't just stand here and let them get hurt or worse. Lets move out," I shouted with excitement.

We followed the voice and saw that squad B needed help. There was about twenty soldiers attacking them and only one person from squad B was left standing trying to defend the soldiers off.

"We'll take if from here," I yelled to him.

"Alright thanks. Don't let them get inside the building, there are sick and injured people here," the guy said.

"Alright," I reassured him.

We started to fight the soldiers but we only managed to slay one or two of them. Odds were defiantly against us.

"There's too many of them, Amara," yelled Heero.

"Heero! Remember how we defeated the two T-rexes! We'll use the same technique!" I shouted.

"Right, Vash help me distract the soldiers," Heero stated as the two of them were fighting the soldiers.

I then summoned White Blaze. White Blaze defeated the rest of the soldiers. "Are you all right?" I asked the squad B leader.

"Yes, we are all alright. We can clean up the mess here. You better get back to your assigned area," he said.

"If you ever need us again just holler. My name is Amara, the squad C leader," I told the guy.

"My name is Andrew. It is my pleasure to meet you, Amara," Andrew said.

"See you later, Andrew," I said as we went back to our assigned area.

Just as we approached our area I noticed someone or something was spying on us. I jumped up to the roof were the figure was and pointed one of my gun blades at the figure.

"Whoa! Hey, there," the figure said startled.

"Lt. Squall?" I asked stunned.

"Shhhhh.not so loud. So you must be Amara. Rinoa tolled me about you," Squall stated.

"She did, well I want to know this, where were you hiding this past year and a half?" I asked.

"Here, there, it doesn't really matter, does it?" he said.

I sniffed him, like a dog, for some very strange reason I have the nose of a dog, which means I have a very good sense of smell. "You're not Squall. Who are you?" I asked.

"Job well done. I can't tell you who I am but for one thing is for sure you are going to die," he said as he transformed.

"Shit!" I yelled. I saw Heero and Vash down below and they were already fighting some monsters. "Damn it," I whispered. "Vash, I want you to go ahead and tell other squads to get out of here. If you need more help, Vash, ask Andrew from squad B."

"Right," Vash yelled back.

"Heero, what I am about to say may be a little rash, but I want you to stay down there and fight those monsters. I will handle the ones up here. If I see you having trouble I will help you," I told Heero.

"You're the captain," Heero said as he continued to fight.

After awhile of fighting, Rinoa came and yelled," Amara, Heero, get back to the dock now!"

"Rinoa, if I did that these monsters will kill every last civilian here. They can't get past here! Heero if you want to you may go. I'll understand," I yelled back.

"Captain!" Heero yelled. "I'm not letting you do this alone!"

"Heero," I whispered. "Ugh. Damn you, you monster," I shouted as one of the monsters hit me.

"Amara, Heero, this is an order! Get back to the dock now!" Rinoa kept screaming.

I paid no attention to her. As I summoned White blaze, I yelled, "Strike Lazar Claw! Thunder Roar!" I have three GF's so I summoned all of them, which isn't the best thing to do. I knew after I summoned my last GF I would be left defenseless, but I didn't care. "Diamond Dust!" That was my last GF that I had.

Most of the monsters except for the imposter were dead. The rest of the monsters retreated.

"Amara, are you okay?" Heero asked as he climbed up to were I was.

All I could do was nod my head, yes.

"Amara." Heero stated to say.

"Amara, I told you never to summon more then one of your GF's at a time. I told you what could happen," Rinoa lectured. "Can you walk?"

Again all I could do was nod my head, yes. I was too weak to speak.

We went back to the docks and then boarded the vessels.

"When we get back, I'm going to have Quistis Trepe look you over. Amara can you talk?" Rinoa asked with concern.

I looked at her and gave her my death glare and said, " Yes, that answer your question?"

"Yes it does. Did you know, Amara that you act a lot like Squall," Rinoa said.

"I don't care, but tell me this, we weren't in Timber so what the hell were we doing in that place?" I barked.

"Not too many students realized that this wasn't Timber. I am afraid to tell you that I don't really know why were we there," Rinoa stated.

After that no one really said anything. We just sat there and after awhile we arrived back in Balamb City. Once we reached Balamb City we walked back to Balamb Garden. Rinoa then made me go and see Miss Trepe. My guess though is that Rinoa told all about the incident to Miss Trepe and to the headmaster Cid.
