Review

Currently, GTO is my most favorite anime series to watch. I like watching Onizuka overcome the bizarre problems that his students cause for him. GTO has all the elements that make a series so fun to watch: blackmail, perversion, depravity, suicide, fanservice, motorcycle gangs, ultra-exaggerated facial expressions, suspense, action, violence, videogames, evil-plans, and an arch-nemesis. I suggest you watch it.

At first I wondered why the back cover mentioned that Onizuka being a virgin, but the first episode cleared that up. It seems that his hormones provide him with a motivation that gets him in more trouble than the average person. Teaching is an easy way to meet young women and it's even better when you like girls wearing school uniforms. It's good for Onizuka that he realizes quickly that he could get in trouble with the law if he acts upon his urges with a student.

Dialog

It's a little akward at first because I had to get used to Steven Blum playing Onizuka and Wendee Lee playing most of the women. It's just plain weird to have a voice that is associated with Spike Spiegel or Faye Valentine of Cowboy Bebop show up on other characters.
