Our last couple of shows were played, once again, in Geelong! Firstly, we played at Chronic, held the Nash on thursday nights. We were part of the launch gig which saw Dcon-v, No Idea, the Poppin' Mommas and ourselves crank out the shit....well we did, the others fucken rocked. Dcon-v are a band on the rise. Their sound was much bigger than in the past and it looks like the hard work is starting to pay off. Cranky has tightened up noticably and the resultant sound is now very thick and solid! Top shit guys!
No Idea (who I confess I haven't seen in yonx) were in fine form. Old school punk rock at its finest. These are a talented bunch of guys and they really set the bar high for the poor ol' Mommas who had to follow them. "No Probs" said the Ox and BANG....the boys were on. Some people I spoke to said that their sound was too fuzzy, but personally, I though it was friggen great, much beefier than they have been on some occassions. This is one of those bands that you don't know what kinda show they are going to rock up with, but fortunately for those present....they were in fine form that night! I must confess that my "cocktail" didn't work so well for me that night and I bailed half way through the Mommas' set...but I my fondest memory of the whole night was staggering home by myself singing along with the still audilble strains of Pissed At The Wheel.
Bonus!
