The rather splendid BBC4, (UK digital TV channel), showed "Solitary Life" last night, a doc. on Richard Thompson.
Below, forwarded from the RT List, is a list of the music that was seen and heard, much of the FC material I belive had not been seen before.
It also included interviews with Simon Nicol, Swarb and I. Matthews, (plus Martin Carthy, Linda Thompson, Billy Connolly, Joe Boyd etc etc.)
Fairport in 1967 playing Reno, Nevada (I think this was from the French TV broadcast, but it was in full colour and wonderful picture quality, no comparison to the black-and-white clip from the same broadcast that was on "It All Comes Round Again"). Lots of close-ups of RT's fingers on the fretboard during the solo.
