Cyborg Masks |
Project Report |
Project Name - Cyborg Masks |
- Design Brief: To build a cyborg mask that will be able to give the user intructions using lights.
- Context: Robots sometimes need to recieve intructions using as little codes as possible. To maximize effficientcy codes must be precise and meaningful.
- Possible Solutions: Yell at the robot until it does what you want it to do, or create a code that the robot will understand.
- Design Constraints: The following are some constraints or limitations for this project:
- You will work individually
- The project will be evaluated during another period (i.e., you can do some "fine tuning" at home).
- Your design will be presented in class
- Detail Design: The following are the steps to designing and making your robot:
- Ensure that the work area is clear of hazardous materials (i.e., oil, gas, rags, wood, plastic, etc.)
- Design your mask on paper
- Make a 3d rough model of the mask .
- Build the real thing.
- Create switches to operate the lights inside the mask.
- Clean up your work area and put your tools away.
- Materials: Exacto Knife, Wood, Pins, Glue, and Bristow Board, Graphite Paper, Pencil, Ruler, Copper, Wire.
- Reflections: The cyborg mask project was fun. I was difficult to design and build and come up with a code that was efficient and useful. Also the switches were more difficult than what I thought to build however in the end we build a fully functional mask. I learned alot about electionics and how they worked. Next time I think I would spend more time on the switches because that seems to be the most important part of the project.
