It's so late that it's almost early morning, but I can't sleep. Haven't been able to sleep for a couple of days. She's asleep next to me though, miles away. Hope her dreams are sweet.

The feel of him around me, so tight and perfect. Muscles contracting to try and pull me even deeper. Heat and pressure and paradise.

"What's wrong, honey?" she asked earlier as I failed to eat dinner yet again. "You're too thin, and now you won't eat. Won't you tell me?"

"Tell me what you want," he said to me, letting me press him further into the mattress, the sweat and heat between us feeling so right, so good.

"Nothing," I assure her. "I'm fine, just a bit tired. The filming's going over schedule and they're pushing us, you know how it is."

The pain/pleasure as he pushes himself into me, making me gasp and hang onto the head of the bed, trying to crawl away and push back simultaneously.

"Do you have to stay over again?" She looks a bit disappointed, but she understands that my life is rarely conventional.

"Stay?" he says, running his fingers down my arm. "I want you to be here when I wake up. Please." I can't argue with him, can't deny him. Never could.

"Probably. I'm sorry, sweetie."

"Of course I will. Whatever you want."

"Come to bed," she says. "I've missed you."

"Come to bed," he says. "I've missed you."

Her body underneath mine, pliant and willing, glorious in its submission.

His body underneath mine, pliant and willing, glorious in its submission.

"I love you," she says as she comes. I love her. She's my destiny. She's my childhood sweetheart, mother to my children.

"I love you," he says as he comes. I love him. He's my doom. The one being I can't live without. The other half of me.

I'll have to choose, one day. But as I listen to her steady breathing next to me, I don't think I can be without this.

I'll have to choose, one day. But as I watch him lying there, chest heaving as he tries to get his breath back, I know that I can't give this up.

"I love you," I reply, kissing her softly.

"I love you," I whisper, putting my head on his shoulder and closing my eyes. He turns and pulls me close.

The choice has made itself.
