Don't get me wrong, I am not telling anyone to fish from Auckland Harbour Bridge. Rather, you can fish from the embankment along Curran Street. You need a surf cast rod, as well as sinkers that have crawlers to fight the sometimes robust water current. It is a popular fishing spot in urban Auckland where big fishes are sometimes caught.
