Confuses the opponent.  Will not attack, cast spells, sound alarm, etc.

If attacked he will defend and parry & will snap out of befuddlement next round

 

Binding

Halves movement of the target.

 

Bladesharp

Range 80m, MP used 1 per point of spell, focused, passive, temporal

+5% to hit & 1 pt damage per point in spell - for thrusting, stabbing & hacking weapons

Incompatible with other weapon enhancing spells

 

Bludgeon

Range 80m, MP used 1 per point of spell, focused, passive, temporal

+5% to hit & 1 pt damage per point in spell - for smashing weapons

Incompatible with other weapon enhancing spells

 

Coordination

Range 80m, MP used 2, unfocussed on self, focused on others, passive, temporal

+3 to DEX not over species maximum: humans 21

 

Countermagic

Range 80m, MP used 1 per pt of spell, unfocussed on self, focused on others, passive, temporal

A defensive spell that will attempt to stop any incoming spells.

Incompatible with Protection, Shimmer & Spirit shield.

 

Darkwall

Range 80m, MP used 2, focused, passive, temporal

Creates a 10m x 3m high by 6cm thick opaque wall of darkness

Can be move 3m per round that the caster does nothing else

 

Demoralize

Range 80m, MP used 1, focused, passive, temporal

Victim defends at full strength defends at half.  Will not use offensive spells.

Will dispel any spell with a duration and the same or fewer MPs. Functions at half strength against Rune magic

Victim receives 1D3 points of damage to a random location, armor is bypassed

 

Dullblade

Range 80m, MP used 1 per pt of spell, focused, passive, temporal

Reverse of Bladesharp,  if the weapon has a bound spirit the spirit POW must be overcome

 

Extinguish

Range 40m, MP used 2, focused, permanent

Puts out a fire.  Wood will be cold.

 

Fanaticism

Range 80m, MP used 1 per pt of spell, focused on others, unfocussed on self, temporal

Multiples Fantics attack % by 1.5.  Will not parry or cast protective spells. Demoralize will cancel the spell.

 

Farsee

Range touch, MP used 1, focused on others, unfocussed on self, passive, temporal

Gives user 10X power normal vision.  Can be switched on and off at will. Lasts 4 hours.

 

Firearrow

Range 80m, MP used 2, focused, passive, instant

Creates an arrow of fire doing 3d6 damage if it hits. It is cast on an ordinary arrow. Damage will be reduced by armor. It lasts 1 round.

 

Fireblade

Range 80m, MP used 4, focused, active, temporal

Cast on the metal part of an edged weapon causing the weapon to flame.

Weapon will do 3d6 damage if it hits. Armor will absorb damage. If the caster sustain damage the spell ends.

 

Glamour

Range 80m, MP used 2, focused on others, unfocussed on self, passive, temporal

Effect is CHA x1.5

 

Glue

Range 80m, MP used 1 per pt of spell, focused, passive, temporal

10 x 10 cm patch of glue with a strength equal to POW of the caster, extra points can be used to make the glue stronger xPOW. Doesn't affect living things.

Harmonize

Range 80m, MP used 2, focused, passive, temporal

Causes the victim to do exactly what the caster does.  Works on humanoids only

 

Healing

Range touch, MP used 1 per point of spell, focused on others, unfocussed on self, permanent

Works on caster's species. The part of the body to be healed must be touched.  2 points will stop bleeding. 6 points can restore a severed limb. A single location can only be healed once per 5 rounds.  Requires double MPs to work on a species different than the caster.

 

Ignite

Range 40m, MP used 1, focused, instant

Can set fire to anything normally burnable

 

Invisiblity

Range 80m, MP used 3, focused on others, unfocussed on others, active, temporal

Will end if the character is attacked or attacks

 

Ironhand

Range 80m, MP used 1 per pt of spell, focused on others, unfocussed on self, passive, temporal

+5% to attack & 1 pt of damage for physical attacks

 

Light

Range 80m, MP used 1, focused, passive, temporal

It must be cast on something & will light up a 12m radius not as bright a daylight

 

Lightwall

Range 80m, MP used 4, focused, passive, temporal

Creates a wall of light similar to Darkwall. It can be seen through from the side of the caster. Illuminates 15 m on each side of the wall.

 

Mindspeech

Range 160m, MP used 1 per pt of spell, focused, passive, temporal

Verbal telepathy. The thoughts transmitted must be verbalized.  Each point adds one person to the link. The additional people are only linked to the caster.

 

Mobility

Range 80m, MP used 1, focused, passive, temporal

Reverse of Binding spell.  Doubles movement of recipient.

 

Multimissile

Range 80m, MP used 1 per pt, focused, passive, temporal

Cast on missile before they are fired.  Each MP used creates an additional missile when the original is fired. The magical missiles can't critical and must be rolled for individually. Incompatible with Firearrow or Speedart.

 

Protection

Range 80m, MP used 1 per pt of spell, focused on others, unfocussed on self, passive, temporal

Adds up to 4 points of armor protection to all parts of the body. Incompatible with Countermagic, Shimmer & Spirit Shield.

 

Repair

Range touch, MP used 2, focused, passive, instant

Can repair almost any damaged item.  All pieces of  the item must be present.

 

Shimmer

Range 80m, MP used 1 per pt, focused on others, unfocussed on self, passive, temporal

+5% to the defense of any character. Incompatible with Countermagic, Protection or Spirit Shield.

 

Silence

Range 80m, MP used 1, focused, passive, temporal

Used to suppress noise created by the movement of a character, monster or object.

 

Speedart

Range 80m, MP used 1, focused, passive, temporal

Gives missiles a 15% better chance of hitting & +3 damage

Incompatible with Firearrow and Multimissile

 

Spirit Binding

Range 80m, MP used 1, focused, passive, permanent

Binds spirits into familiars or magic objects.  On the death of the binder the spirit is freed.

 

Spirit Shield ( Spirit Screen )

Range 80m, MP used 1 per pt of spell, focused on others, unfocussed on self, passive, temporal

Cast before the character engages in spirit combat it will temporarily destroy 2 pts of POW per pt in the spell. Incompatible with Countermagic, Protection, and Shimmer.

 

Strength

Makes STR 1.5x up to species limit: human 21

Incompatible with Vigor.

 

Vigor
