First off, a story by Kathy Tyers. Honestly, I've never read it....I don't seem to care for her style as much as other authors.
Next is a session on Cracken's Rebel Operatives. Pretty interesting, including a new race to use...the Jin. Following that is another story, this one by Erin Endom. This is the usual quality of story...stats for the planet and characters involved. Yet again, I haven't read this story, so I can't tell you whether it's good or not.
Then there's a section, fairly large, called the Free Trader's Guide to Planets. This is actually VERY helpful for those that like information concerning planets in the galaxy. There's stats for the Chadra Fan planet, the Gamorrean planet, the Kubaz planet and others. Not only are there planet stats, but there's background information on the areas and occasional things "encountered", such as animals or bugs.
After the planets section is an area where they have "slicing" aids. It's about 10 pages of various items that are useful for a slicer character. Then there's a section on droids, introducing 8-10 new droid types. One of the impressive droids is the Ulban Arms Class I Defense droid.....nice!
Following those are another couple of stories, with the usual stats. Then is GalaxyWide Newsnets, backed up by another VERY helpful section....Alliance Intelligence Report: TIE fighters! This section deals with just about everything involving TIE fighters. Maintenance, history, combat tactics, organization and deployment and their weaknesses. Additionally they have nice pictures for all of the variants of the TIE fighter (barring TIE prototype and TIE Interceptor). There's the TIE/In, TIE/rc, and many others.
Rounding out the book is the Wanted By Cracken section, which has the assortment of baddies in it. Overall, this is a helpful book if you're looking for TIE information or the occasional planet or two (though I don't know if those same planets are shown in other sourcebooks).
