To summarize this book, there are a LOT of stories. It seems like immediately prior to the downfall of West End Games, their "idea bucket" was empty...for the most part. So, I'll list off the authors that are presented in this book. I'm sure a lot of you will recognize at least one.
Kevin J Anderson, Patricia Jackson, Daniel Wallace, Paul Danner, and Angela Phillips all put pen to the paper and give out stories in this book. The stories range from interesting to ho-hum, though preferences obviously will differ.
There's a section of Alien Encounters in here, showing stats for one race, the Shards. Also in there is a Special Military Unit Intelligence Update. It details several military units, such as the Ailon Nova Guard and the Churhee's Rifleman, just to name a couple. Right after that is a section of ISB Intercepts, where Eric Trautmann answers some questions by people...all in relation to the Star Wars game. One little treat in here is the stats for the Imperial Assault Gunboat from the TIE fighter computer game.
The only other section that isn't a story in the book is a extensive section on a planet called Tasariq. It's a very thorough section all about the "crystal planet" and the varieties of crystals that can be used in the game. There's a bit of equipment and weapons that are from the planet, as well as a variety of characters. For those that decide to use this planet, there's a good chunk of adventure ideas to use.
When you get down to it all, though, this book seemed to be lacking something. I considered the art to be slightly substandard compared to their usual. Given the scope of everything, this book should really only be for those that either like to read a whole lot, or want a complete collection.
