The Perfect Event

As many of you know we were Married on April 18 1998, at an Oceanside Ceremony and had a small luncheon buffett following for our closest family and friends.
We decided to Re-new our vows as soon as possable after we were maried so we could  "be married" in the church, it just hapened that financialy we had to wait 3 years and do it on our 3rd Anniversary, now the questions was how to have the ceremony and what to call the party afterward. We decided on an Anniversary party rather than a Reception.
So heres a little about our 2nd Wedding...

Our Ceremony was held April 21 2001 at Saint Margaret Catholic Church in Boston MA.

Our day begins witht he girls at the spa getting there hair and makeup done... (very relaxing)
The it's off to the church for the Formal pictures... ( I strongly recommend this to everyone!)
Back to the house after the Formals are taken, we freshen up and wait for the limo...
Limo arrives, (we the best limo driver :-))and it's back to the Church,
Show time!

It was the Saturday after Easter so the Alter was covered will White Lilies and Pink Mums it was beautiful.

The prelude music was Cannon in D - Pachellbel
The Procession was Ave Maria sung by our organist

The Mother of the Groom was escorted by the Bestman (Rob) followed by the Father of the Groom
while the Groom and Bestman (Billy) patiently waited for the girls.

The Bride & Father escorted eachother to their places about 3/4 of the way to the Alter Ed stepped forward shook my Dad's hand and my dad smiled and gave my hand to Ed. Kissed me and I went to the Alter with Ed.
*(Now as many of you know, my Dad was not "giving me away" so this had not been rehearsed
the night before, everyone was pleasantly surprised and Ed's Dad was very impressed.)

Now for the funning opening Prayer (we love father Nick, he's so cool) Everyone for some reason sat at the back of the Church, which is quite large and long, it's a small Cathedral.
Father Nick thanks everyone for coming and sharing in our day and then asks everyone to move up about 12 rows so he doesn't feel like he's performing at the Fleet Center, :-)
(if anyone was nervous, That sure broke the ice)

The Lighting of the candle was, i thought, a speacial to honors our grandparents who passed and could not physically be there with us, I wrote a beautiful poem that Father Nick read as we lit the candle.

The rest of the Ceremony was very lovely and very personal, not your average vows and ceremony, everything was unique and it's all thanks to Father Nick who made our ceremony one we (and everyone there) will never forget.

The recessional was a lot of fun we decided to have everyone blow bubbles as we left, cool idea I must say! even the guys has a blast  :-)

Now it's back in the limo for a toast and we are off to the hall...
