Gazzara is an italian band leaded by keyboard player Francesco Gazzara,
he started the group in 1995. His debut album "One" released in 1996 contains
very charming fender rhodes, clavinet and mini-moog sounds, but on their
latest recordings turned to some brazilian and electronic sounds. Many musicians
from acid jazz funk scene have worked with them in their albums, such as
the rapping vocals of Kevin Etienne and vocalists Desy Moore
(Jive), Yasemin
Sannino and Elise. The present formation of the band includes Wendy Lewis
in vocals, Mauro Mirti, Giovanni di Cosimo and Eduardo Piloto Barreto. Their
last album from 2002 is called "The Spirit of Summer". |
