Jody beggins her career as a member of Shalamar during the late 70s,
singing one of their hits "A night to Remember". When the band splits she made
her debut solo album, Jody Watley (1987), sold a million copies and produced
the hit "Looking for a New Love". In recent years Watley has broadened her
international and eclectic fan base with successful releases in Japan, England
and Europe. Her last recordings "Saturday Night Experience EP" and "Midnight
Lounge", has a relaxed and atmospheric sound with touchs of house, drum and
bass, ambient jazz and R & B. |
