The New Cool Collective are a loose group of some of the coolest musicians
on the Dutch music scene. They play a fresh and exciting mix of highly danceable
soul, jazz spiced with latin flavours. The band was founded in 1994 when
alto saxophonist Benjamin Herman met DJ Graham B. Benjamin leads the group
and is well known on the European Jazz circuit winning many prizes including
a six month scholorship to study in New York City. After visiting the Giant
Steps Club in New York, Benjamin and Graham got inspired to organise parties
in Amsterdam and have a band. |
