Each week you will be given ten questions, two for each weekday. The questions will be posted on the website as soon as possible every Sunday morning as close to 12:00 am MST as possible. Unless stated otherwise each week's quiz will expire on the following Saturday at midnight MST. You will have 7 days to answer ten questions. Each statement is written as if it is a "FACT" and you must decide if the question is indeed a "FACT" or if it is "CRAP" (untrue). It's your call! All answers default to the "FACT" button, so you must physically pick the "CRAP" button if you think the statement is false. You may view the quiz daily, if you wish, but once you decide to submit your answers, you may not submit another set of answers for the same quiz. Your first set of answers are the only ones that count in the scoring. Each question is worth 10 points, so the maximum score for any given week is 100 points. The scores will be tallied each week, and the top three scores will be placed on the "Fact or Crap" webpage of the LHS Alumni Website. The monthly winner will be awarded The Great Golden Groovy Greyhound Genius of the Month Award. The second and third place finishers will also be listed. (In case of a tie, the lowest monthly score will be thrown out for each individual and the new best overall monthly score will win. If need be the 2nd worse score will then be thrown out and the scores tallied. This process will continue until only one weekly score remains for each and then the best score wins. If still tied, the person who has answered the most questions since Apr. 1. 2003 will be awarded the tiebreaker for their loyalty and support to the game. If both are still tied, the one with the best over-all score from the same date will be the winner. Let's hope it doesn't have to go any further than this...LOL)
Anyone may play as long as they enter the required information on the quiz form. Everyone must fill out their name used in high school, the year of their graduating class, and the high school, city and state that they attended high school. If you attended more than one high school, choose the school you wish to play for. Lebanon High School, Lebanon, Illinois classmates must play for LHS/LCHS whether they actually graduated there or not. The person with the most points at the end of each Quarter will be given a free prize. We have LHS/LCHS coffee mugs, caps, visors, t-shirts, mouse pads, calculators, pen and pencil desk sets, music CD's, refrigerator magnets and many other gifts to give away. It is my sole responsibility to pick and choose what prizes will be awarded to each quarterly winner depending on availability and my personal whimsy.
The "Fact or Crap? It's Your Call!" game will be played as a daily game on the Lebanon Greyhound Delphi Forum as well. It will probably be played using the poll format, so that anyone can play without having to give their name, however, it is encouraged to reply to the poll to give your best explanation of why the statement is either "Fact" or "Crap". The most creative answers may also be subject to a free prize. Anyone can nominate their favorite responses to be placed in a quarterly poll to see who wins the prize for creative thinking. This is also the perfect place to impress your classmates and friends with your knowledge of "CRAP". I will only tell you if the answers are "FACT" or "CRAP". If you want to know why, someone will have to share their "CRAP" knowledge with us and provide proof that can be easily confirmed. Another poll will be held each quarter to determine the person who appears to know the most "CRAP". This person may also be eligible for a prize, so there are three ways to win a prize. If the same person wins more than one of the three prizes, I reserve the right to substitute one prize of greater or lessor value instead of two or three separate prizes. Again, this is my call, so no bitching, please.
I will try to keep the on site scoreboard as up-to-date as possible, so you can see who is in the lead. My answer sources will be considered the only valid source of answers, but if I decide a given answer is incorrect, I have the sole authority to change the answer, but need not do so. The accepted answers will be left up to the discretion of the judge and shall be final.
Do you think you know more "CRAP" than anyone else? Okay, then. Prove it. Good luck to everyone!
Best Wishes, |
