The Field Trialers that participated in the June 4 event, extended their praise and compliments to the GSC membership, especially to Bill Salisbury for the care and grounds keeping condition of the Voluntown property. The event went very smooth and on schedule all day. Despite the lack of GSC membership participation, 27 dogs were entered and a profit of $250 was realized by the end of the day. The participants travel from a far representing four different states CT, NY, RI and MA.
At 8am the puppy’s got underway with four 15-minute braces and simultaneously on another course were two 25-minute gun dog braces were being run. Long time field trialers Rich and Monique Giuliano of Rhode Island judged the puppy stake and Jim Bush and Lisa Prue, both from Connecticut, judged the gun dog stake.
The puppy placements were:
1st place - Britney Spaniel Adeline of Waccubuc (Bill McNamee of NY)
2nd place - English Pointer Porter Meadow Elroy (Jim Bush of CT)
3rd place - English Pointer Leadbelly (Carl Lufkin of RI)
The gun dog placements were:
1st place - Britney Spaniel Gates of Waccubuc (Bill McNamee of NY)
2nd place - Britney Spaniel Luc Raidelanchasse (Bill McNamee of NY)
3rd place - English Setter Lightning Rod (Brian Forsyth of CT)
At 10am the derby stake started its first of three 30-minute braces, judged by Paul Kelly from Rhode Island and Victor Forsyth of Connecticut. This was an intense stake placing three of the finest trialing dogs in the Northeast.
These placements were:
1st place - English Pointer Beaver Meadow Bud (John Stolgitis of RI)
2nd place - English Setter Peace Dale Duke (Rich Frisella of RI)
3rd place - English Pointer Richfield Orphan Annie (Monique Giuliano of RI)
Lunch was prepared, served and donated at 11:30am by Allison Forsyth and helper Sarah Gay both of Connecticut. During lunch, ribbons were give out to the puppy, gun dog and derby placements along with a bag of Precise dog food to each placement, which was donated by Precise Pet Products.
After lunch, the shooting dog braces got underway, judged by John Stolgitis and Carl Lufkin both of Rhode Island.

1st place - English Setter Peace Dale Duke (Rich Frisella of RI) NOTE: 1st having three well hunted finds in the first 15-minutes of the 30-minute course
2nd place - English Pointer Richfield Silver Belle (Bill McNamee of NY)
3rd place - Britney Spaniel Luc Raidelanchasse (Bill McNamee of NY)
