The Fires will be named for Rivers and Creeks in the immediate locality.
The individual names are of course open to negotiation, but only as the first activity at the Briefing, thereafter they will be permanent. Talk to your Fire colleagues and leaders at the very beginning of the Briefing.
It is important that each Fire has a name with a different initial letter, which is appropriate, short and cannot be "abused". This is to help radio comms. and so that it is easily discernible over the radio.
