My Arrangements
(Final Fantasy)
These arrangements were done during my senior year of high school and are some of my first works. The melody lines only are by Nobuo Uematsu and the rest is composed and arranged by me. Enjoy!
-Terra's Theme for String Orchestra-
-My first attempt at arrangement aside from a direct translation of 'You're Not Alone' from Piano to Strings -which I felt had little originality so I went on to do this. Piano Version-I think the piano version of my arrangement actually sounds better on the piano, as far as midi is concerned. In this version you can actually here all the motives and the tremolo of the double bass towards the end which isn't apparent in the string version. I enjoy this one a lot more.
-Terra's Theme 4-Hand Piano-
-I actually made it possible for the string version to be played on the piano but since I didn't want to lose a voice in the transcription I decided to make this for 2 players at the piano.
-Kefka's Theme for Symphonic Orchestra-
-This was one of my most ambitious projects and doubled as my 'senior project' pushed on my graduating class. So it gave me an excuse to use my school's orchestra to perform at concert although it wasn't practiced to it's full and many parts were missing at concert. I've been told it's an excellent arrangement: we just needed to have more strings and the rest of the percussion to truly envelop the vision I had in mind. Although the midi may seem a bit blended as one does where many voices are going on at once, all of them are there and you can feel the 'bounce' I was going for to portray Kefka himself. Some of the themes arranged upon were also developed from the Final Fantasy VI Piano Collections Sheet Music although a great deal of personal input was put in to make this work cohesive :). Someday I hope to get this piece performed right, until then: enjoy!
-Download Sheet Music-
-This includes the scores and parts to Kefka's theme, Terra's theme, and the piano score for Terra 4-hand Piano. If you wish to perform these, be sure to let me know! :) You will need Finale Notepad to view these files.
