Obituary: Donald D. Grovenburg, 75, Leawood, KS, passed away Saturday, December 16, 1995, at his home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, at St. Ann's Catholic Church; burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, December 19, at McGilley State Line Chapel, where the Rosary will be said at 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rockhurst High School.
Mr. Grovenburg was born April 11, 1920, in Great Bend, KS. He was married to (Ann) Louise Grovenburg for 50 years, and was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church since 1952. He graduated from Rosedale High School, and was a WWII Marine Corps veteran. He coached 3 & 2 Baseball for 18 years. He was also a member of the Rockhurst High School ather's Club. He retired from the Borden Company in 1978. Mr. Grovenburg was preceded in death by his mother, Opal Wardlaw Nelson; his father, Harold Grovenburg; and grandson, Cory Grovenburg. Survivors include his wife, (Ann) Louise Grovenburg, of the home; his sons, Gerry (wife, Mary Ellen), Terry, Daryl, Gregg and Duane; five grandchildren, Michael, Jason, Timothy, Sean and John; one great-grandchild, Makyla; his aunts, Melba Hanson, San Diego, CA, and Agnes Couch, Hugoton, KS; and his stepmother, Irene Krestin, Great Bend, KS.

He was married to Anne Louisa Shea on 30 Mar 1946 in La Jolla, San Diego, California.⁽⁷⁴⁸⁾ Donald Demon Grovenburg and Anne Louisa Shea had the following children:
