He died on 8 May 1972 in Sprague, Lincoln Co., Washington. He was buried on 9 May 1972 in Sprague, Lincoln Co., Washington.
Albert Countryman was affectionately referred to as "Little Albert" by his cousins (Cleal and Elmer) during interviews 1993 and 1994. Other information was obtained from his daughters and grand daughters. He homesteaded land in Stevens Co.,WA-Sept 18,1920, reference Stevens Co, WA land patents Vol Q, pg 301.

He was married to Lottie Lavida Mapes before 1921 in possibly Sprague, Lincoln Co., Washington. Lottie Lavida Mapes ⁽³⁵⁴⁾ was born on 20 May 1900 in Sprague, Lincoln Co., Washington. She died in 1991 in Cheney, Spokane Co., Washington. She was buried in 1991 in Sprague, Lincoln Co., Washington. Albert William Countryman and Lottie Lavida Mapes had the following children:
