GRAND FORKS, ND - University of North Dakota men’s basketball forward Kyle Behrens (Sr., Hayfield, Minn.), a 1997 graduate of Hayfield (Minn.) High School, was recently named a second team All-American by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and Chevrolet. The NABC All-America teams are selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC.
Behrens, the North Central Conference’s most valuable player this season and an All-NCC selection, led the NCC in scoring this year with a 20.2 scoring average in 18 games. Behrens also led the NCC in blocked shots (1.44 per game) and was 10th in rebounding (6.4 per game).
It was the third postseason All-American honor for Behrens. He was named a third team All-American by Basketball Times and a second team All-American by Division II Bulletin.
