The University of North Dakota women's basketball picked up a 98-45 win over Bellarmine (Ky.) Friday night at the Hyslop Sports Center.
The Fighting Sioux, the defending NCAA Division II national champions, opened an 11-0 lead on their way to a 41-16 half-time advantage. The UND defense limited Bellarmine to 5-of-28 shooting from the field in the first half and 11 turnovers.
In the second half, North Dakota built on its lead with runs of 12-2 and 24-10.
UND (2-0) was led by Jenny Crouse's 15 points. Jaime Pudenz and Kami Winger each scored 13 points while Tiffany Pudenz netted 10. Each of UND's 12 players scored in the contest.
North Dakota will play Mayville State Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Hsylop Sports Center.
